JLPT N4 kanji

All 268 N4 kanji, in the order Kanji Fortress teaches them. Open one for its readings, stroke order, a mnemonic, a common word and example sentences.

N4 is the second level of the JLPT. Its kanji cover everyday life beyond the basics: common verbs and adjectives, family, school, work, travel and the seasons. The JLPT has not published official kanji lists since 2010, so these levels follow the widely used lists by Jonathan Waller.

Learn them in groups of ten: the meaning, one reading and one word for each, then come back to the group a day later. The N5 study plan sets this out week by week.
